Two Frugal Chicks

Recently, I contacted two companies:  Johnsonville and Kraft.  I emailed Johnsonville letting them know that we enjoy their sausages and asked if they had any coupons.  They sent me two $1 off coupons.

If you were in our last coupon class at the Burien Community Center, you heard my story about Velveeta cheese.  I was making cheesy potatoes for our Easter dinner and wanted to use Velveeta.  I went to Safeway and was shocked at the $8 price tag on the large loaf of Velveeta.  I couldn’t bring myself to pay that price, so I bought the store brand.  I emailed Kraft letting them know that I wouldn’t be buying Velveeta at that price, and today in the mail was a coupon for one free loaf of Velveeta up to $9.

That’s $11 in coupons from two simple emails. It pays to let your voice be heard..

Arbys is offering a coupon for free pepsi and curly fries with any Market Fresh Sandwich. I just might have to try one of these sandwiches.

My favorite beef fajita recipe is so simple
Just marinate the beef in 2/3 C lime juice, 1 tsp salt, 1/2 tsp pepper for a couple hours then grill
Don’t marinate too long or the acid in the lime will “cook” the meat
I use flank steak. I love the way the lime flavors the meat perfectly.

You know the drill……cook up peppers and onions and whatever else you want, wrap up – top with sour cream, salsa, avocado, cheese – however you like yours. So easy and delish!
