What a great day I had at Walgreen’s yesterday. Here’s my first score:

Paid $7.99 out of pocket, received $5 back in Register Rewards

I also wanted to buy the Cottonelle toilet paper, but they were out, so later in the day on my way home from work, I stopped at another Walgreen’s (there are 3 Walgreen’s within a 2 mile stretch here in Kent). I used my $5 Register Rewards from my first transaction, 2 manufacturer’s coupons, 1 store coupon.  Paid $2.95 out of pocket, received $3 back in Register Rewards.

These are some of the samples and freebies we’ve gotten in the mail recently.  It’s so fun to check the mail everyday and get a sample, coupon or rebate. Samples usually come with high value coupons and a lot of times are full size products.  Just a reminder….set up a new gmail account for all of your couponing, that way your home in-box doesn’t get bombarded..

I’ve been hearing rumors that in addition to the 4 coupon inserts (1 Red Plum, 2 Smart Source and 1 Proctor & Gamble) in this Sunday’s paper, there may be an additional 1 or 2 more (1 from Pepsi/Frito Lay and 1 from Target). That’s possibly 6 inserts! (The extra 2 may be regional…we will see on Sunday). Woo Hoo!.
